Work With Us
At Hōhepa Hawke’s Bay, we support disabled people of all ages to live a full engaged life. Founded in 1957 in Hawke’s Bay, we are a unique organisation employing a variety of people in careers such as support work, teaching, farming and agriculture, retail and much more.
We are always keen to hear from people who want to be part of an amazing community of support. No matter what skills you have, if you bring a positive and optimistic attitude we would like to chat with you!
We focus on enabling good lives and ensuring that every life is fully lived. Most of our staff work directly with the people we support (children, adults, the elderly), as part of a team, to ensure their needs are met and they can achieve their dreams: making choices, making friends, having fun, connecting and contributing to their local communities, continuing to grow personally, learning new skills, finding meaningful work and activities.
Our ideal candidates are people who are open-minded, with hobbies, interests, and skills that they will enjoy sharing with others. It could be drama, music, art, dance, crafts, the environment, horticulture, sports, or something completely different. You may be a natural teacher, observant and intuitive, genuinely respectful and appreciative of diversity, kind, patient, enjoy having fun and being with others.
